Effective: 2026-05-18
Readitation runs entirely on your device. There are no accounts, no servers, no sign-in, and no data collection — see the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
For help, feedback, or to report a bug, email christopher.bowenx@gmail.com.
Helpful things to include in your message:
Swipe up to speed up, swipe down to slow down. You can also open the Settings sheet (tap the gear icon while paused) for a precise WPM stepper.
Tap anywhere on the reading surface.
On your phone, in iOS’s built-in user-preferences store
(NSUserDefaults via Flutter’s shared_preferences). It never
leaves your device. If you delete the app, the position is gone too.
Slow the speed down via swipe-down or the settings stepper. If you have photosensitive epilepsy or are unsure, the in-app warning on first launch is the safety guidance — please consult a doctor before continuing.
v0.1 ships the public-domain King James Bible (World English Bible edition) to keep the surface narrow and the privacy story simple. Additional contemplative texts are tracked for later releases.
Readitation is portrait-only by design — the RSVP word lands at the same on-screen position regardless of word length, which makes the focus line load-bearing. Landscape would either re-anchor the word each rotation or waste most of the screen.
